Scot crossed into Mountain Time near Paxton at around 1:30pm. It's a cold day and he's
not wearing tights so he's staying warm by pedaling. He had a grilled chicken lunch at
Ollie's Big Game Lounge and Bar. It's near a feed yard. Scot made it to Ogallala at
3:30pm. He met Bob Christiansen who suggested he stop at the Chamber of Commerce and at
the local paper. Bob accompanied him around town; the paper asked him to come back the
following day. He invited Bob to dinner and Bob asked him to stay at his place for the
night. Bob has no phone but there is a phone across from his apartment complex and it
takes incoming calls.

This is Scot's seventh week on the road. Before leaving Ogallala, he stopped by the
local paper to be interviewed and have his picture taken. Scot rode a little bit up a hill
to look at some wagon ruts. He stopped at the Welcome to Colorado sign to take a picture.
It's another cold day and he didn't really want to stop but I asked him to. He made it to
Julesberg, Colorado at 3:00pm. His parents didn't arrive until 5:00pm. Julesberg is a town
that has moved four times - after they were attacked by Indians, because of a flood, for
the railroad, and ?

While he had pleasant temperatures in Nebraska, Colorado's been cold, in the thirties,
and it looks like it's going to rain. Scot's parents are going to meet him in Sterling. He
might also see his brother later today.
